QUOTATION & PAYMENT TERMS

  1. The quoted amount excludes VAT.
  2. All amounts are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).
  3. Full payment to secure the load unless terms have been agreed upon
  4. Quotations are valid for 14 days only.
  5. Our quote includes all vehicle-related costs, such as tolls and border fees, but excludes abnormal permits and escorts (unless stated in quotation).
  6. Standing time (demurrage) applies to any waiting period for loading/offloading due to delays, and charges will be incurred accordingly. The quoted amount includes a 48-hour clearance period in the receiving country.
  7. Standing time (demurrage) will be charged at R6000 per vehicle, per day or part thereof for delays at the border, bondage yard, or in transit. Labor (accept for load securing), crane, and rigging costs are not included in the quotation and will be charged as needed.
  8. Quotations are based on the dimensions and product types provided by the client. Any changes may result in adjusted pricing.
  9. The quotation assumes no abnormal conditions unless specifically noted, with a capacity of up to 30 tons on a tri-axle and 34 tons on a super link. Overloading fines and the costs of correcting the load, including standing time, will be charged to the client.
  10. Additional charges may apply for undisclosed delivery or collection points per kilometer, with adjusted rates for dirt roads.
  11. Returns loads are not automatically included in the quoted rate.

LOADING & DELIVERING

  1. Please confirm the exit and entry borders. We will use our preferred borders, and any client-requested changes may affect the quoted amount.
  2. Ensure safe, clear, and unrestricted access for our vehicles at loading and offloading points. Any futile costs incurred due to access issues will be charged. Our drivers prioritise safety; if conditions are unsafe (e.g., bad
  3. roads, strikes), they may halt operations, and the customer will be responsible for offloading costs. We will not be legally liable for these expenses.
  4. While we take great care, we cannot except liability for structural or surface damages (including gates, roads, curbs, walls, trees, gardens, etc.) that are not prepared for our vehicles.
  5. We are not liable for damages or delays caused by compulsory physical inspections.
  6. All quotation is subject to the availability of vehicles.

CLEARING & BORDER

  1. SA clearing, SADC certificates, and transit documents are excluded unless explicitly stated in the quotation.
  2. The quotation does not cover clearing, duties, VAT, taxes, or permits (transit, phytosanitary, agricultural, abnormal, city, Contra Marca Code {Mozambique}, etc.), nor does it include scanning, parking, or escort fees unless specified.
  3. If clearing is included, charges will apply per invoice, with additional costs for multiple line invoices.
  4. We will not proceed with loading until customs “proceeds to border” are received.

LIABILITIES & INSURANCE TERMS

  1. The client agrees to indemnify and hold WHEELS OF AFRICA harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from the client’s actions or negligence
  2. Consequential losses resulting from damage to goods transported are not covered and must be insured by the owners.
  3. All goods must be adequately packed and prepared for transit. Any damage or loss due to incorrect preparation will fall under the client’s liability.
  4. Goods in Transit (GIT) insurance is optional unless specifically stated in the quotation and is carried at the owner’s risk.
  5. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this agreement will be resolved through mediation. If mediation fails, disputes may be escalated to arbitration in accordance with the relevant laws of South Africa.
  6. Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, riots, or pandemics.
  7. Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services.
  8. Compliance with Laws: Both parties agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to the services provided under this agreement
  9. Indemnification: The client agrees to indemnify and hold WHEELS OF AFRICA harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from the client’s actions or negligence.

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accepting this quotation and utilising our services, you agree to all the above terms and conditions.
